---------------------------------------------------

Ø.ttf was a collaboration with Sabel Gavaldon + Eva Fabregas.

“The whole (vs. disjointed parts), legibility (vs. suppression), to join (vs. to fragment), history (vs. historicism), heritage seen as active (vs. seen as passive) or memory (vs. oblivion).” Isaac Marrero, The Factory of Conflict, 2008

Ø (null set) is an illegible typeface containing 40 (logo)type glyphs based on architectural motifs and ornamental shapes from the facades and outside walls of obsolete industrial buildings in the Poblenou neighbourhood of Barcelona: Ametller family?s warehouse; Aprestos de Sederías; Can Ricart; Colores Hispania Factory; El Cànem Jute Yarn; Fabricación Nacional de Colorantes y Explosivos; Joan Lucenas Factory; Jute Yarn Manufacturer; La Asunción Flour Factory; La Unión Metalúrgica; Manuel de Larrateas warehouse; Massó & co; Olis Pallarés; Miquel Picó?s warehouse; Oliva Artés Workshop; Valls, Teixidor i Jordana Surgical Material Manufacturers.

This typeface can be downloaded at:
http://Øttf.biz

The Ø.zip file on the download contains a copy of the TrueType Font file. It also contains an NFO file providing information about the project, distributed in this archaic text file format from the Bulletin Board System era — an obsolete format that is still common within cracking groups and the warez community, now reappropriated as an identity marker.

The pictures shows the display at Sant Andreu Contemporany Art Center in Barcelona.
